Notable international athletes are participating in this inaugural championship. Many eyes are focusing on the host's representative, Yuto Horigome, and the tournament's favorite, United State's Nyjah Huston.

By adding skateboarding as a new sport, the International Olympic Committee has the ambition to tap into the young fans worldwide, who have turned skateboarding into a multi-billion dollar industry.

Hope is Lost for the Young Garuda to Qualified for Paris Olimpics

Thursday, 9th of May 2024, at Clairefontaine, Paris, France, is the day the young Garuda's hope vanished as the 0-1 defeat to Guinea meant that they were eliminated from qualifying for the Paris Olympics.

30 minutes is the time needed for Guinea to take the lead against Indonesia, courtesy of Ilaix Moriba's calm penalty. Countless attempts for the young Garuda to retaliate, but their hard work has no reward as their chances are thwarted by a ruthless Guinean defense.

The second half came, and more drama seemed to unveil before our eyes. Many hardfought chances are being flung by the Indonesians', but the sturdy wall by the Guinean are able to foil the attack. The drama keeps on continuing from the sideline, as the young Garuda's head coach Shin Tae-Yong are being sent to the stands after a heated protest towards the fourth officials in the 75th minute.

The young Garuda's fight continues on without their respected head coach. Not long after that, Guinea has another chance to double their lead from the penalty spot, but the chances are squandered by Algassime Bah. A glimmer of hope is visible, and an encouragement to fight back is shown from the young Garudas.

Unfortunately, even with the 8 minutes added on in the second half, the young Garuda wasn't able to convert any of their chances. Their journey must end at the hands of the ruthless Guinean.

A heartbreaking result frustrates the Indonesians. A chance to appear at the Olympics for the second time since 1959 is buried down deep in the sorrows of the Indonesian people.

The Statuette of Fear and Hope: Rudyard Kipling's "Boots"

"Boots," he murmurs, a single word that carries the weight of a thousand unspoken fears and a thousand whispered dreams. In the dimly lit corners of the mind, where shadows dance and whispers linger, there stands a statuette of fear sculpted by the master wordsmith, Rudyard Kipling. "Boots," a simple yet weighty word laden with the echoes of unspoken fears, a symbol of the unknown that lurks in the shadows of the mind.

In the stillness of the night, where the moon casts its silvery glow upon the world, Kipling's words emerge like phantoms from the mist, weaving a tale of bravery and uncertainty, of shadows that linger and hopes that soar. Through the poet's gaze, we peer into a realm where fear wears a cloak of darkness, where the soldier's boots bear the scars of battles fought and fears confronted. Each scuff and scrape upon the leather becomes a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, a reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope flickers like a candle in the wind.

As Kipling unfurls his narrative tapestry, we are confronted with the stark reality of mortality, the looming presence of death that lurks at the fringes of existence. Yet within this shadowed landscape, a flicker of hope dances like a flame in the wind. In the resolute stride of the soldier, in the rhythmic clack of boots against hardened earth, we find a symbol of unwavering courage, a beacon that pierces through the veil of fear.

The poem travels through the labyrinth of life, where we grace the fear and hope, glimpse the darkness and light that intertwine in a delicate embrace. So let us ponder to the mysteries of the labyrinth of life, embrace our fears and nurture our hopes, and to walk the path of courage with boots worn but unbowed, for in the dance of shadows and light, we find the essence of our humanity – fragile, yet unbreakable, a symphony of fear and hope, echoing through the sands of time.

For within the poet's verses lies a timeless truth: that fear may cast its long shadow, but hope shines brighter still, illuminating the path ahead and guiding us through the darkest of nights. Let us confront our own shadows, our own fears and uncertainties, and emerge emboldened, resilient, and steadfast in the face of life's trials.

"Boots," we discover not just a tale of trepidation, but a poignant reminder of the enduring resilience of the human spirit, a testament to the eternal dance between shadows and light, fear and hope, darkness and dawn.

Finding Solitude: William Wordsworth's "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud"

Beauty and tranquility is what you can describe Wordsworth's "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud". Amidst the chaos of modernity, where the cacophony of life's demands deafens the soul's yearning for peace, Wordsworth's timeless ode emerges as a beacon of light, guiding us to a realm where the spirit roams free, unburdened by the weight of worldly woes.

"I wandered lonely as a cloud," he muses, painting a portrait of solitude not as a desolate wasteland, but as a sacred sanctuary where the mind finds respite and the heart finds solace. In the vast expanse of nature's canvas, the poet discovers a kinship with the dancing daffodils, their golden heads nodding in silent conversation, a symphony of beauty that transcends the confines of human language.

With each stanza, Wordsworth leads us deeper into the heart of solitude, where the soul finds refuge in the gentle embrace of the natural world. The fluttering wings of the daffodils become a metaphor for the poet's own fluttering thoughts, drifting aimlessly yet with purpose, finding meaning in the simple act of being.

As we wander alongside Wordsworth through fields of golden blooms, we are reminded of the healing power of nature, the balm that soothes the weary soul and rejuvenates the spirit. In a world fraught with noise and chaos, the poet's solitary sojourn becomes a testament to the transformative magic of solitude, where the mind finds clarity and the heart finds peace.

For in the poet's words, we discover a timeless truth: that in solitude, we find not loneliness, but a profound sense of connection to the world around us, a harmony that resonates in the depths of our being. It is a call to wander in solitude, to seek solace in the embrace of nature's beauty, and to find within ourselves the quietude that nourishes the soul.

In the dance of the daffodils and the whisper of the wind, in the solitude of the soul's silent reverie, we find solace, we find peace, we find ourselves.
